Provides comprehensive primary healthcare to infants and children patients of the clinic. Supervises clinical activities of mid-level practitioners in accordance with the rules of the Texas State Licensing Board. Must have current, active, Texas License. Provides comprehensive primary healthcare to patients of the clinic in accordance with established standard principles of medical practice in the community. Participates in the evaluation of medical care delivery at the clinic. Implements a program for preventive medicine and health maintenance. Must have active, Texas medical license, DEA and DPS, experience in public health as well as familiarity with urban health care delivery system. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required. Bilingual Registered Nurse
Audits and reviews patient medical records. Provides patient health counseling and education. Phone triage. Train medical staff such as medical assistants. Assist physicians with examinations and procedures. Maintain supplies. Explain physician instructions to patients. Prepare and dispense medication. Bi-lingual in English/Spanish required. Provides a one-to-one patient and group teaching. Designs, tailors, and implements pre-screening questionnaire’s to determine appropriate teaching materials. Uses universal precautions during patient care and vaccine handling. Documents patient education take home material. Assists and supports in follow-up discharge education and addresses patient questions. Assists OB LVN with OB screenings and immunization nurse with daily temperature log. Requires license from the Texas Board of Nursing. Monitors and manages patient care events as well as perform other patient care related duties assigned. Medical Assistants – Pediatrics and Family – Full Time
Responsible for working as a team member of the primary care team. Clean and set up exam and treatment rooms. Assesses and document vital signs. Assist providers with patient examination, procedures, and translation services as needed. Records accurate information in patient medical records. Schedule appointments as needed. Maintains supplies. Cleans and sterilizes instruments and equipment. Prepares and administers medications orally or by injection. Performs venipuncture and/or capillary sticks. Obtains specimens for labs. Qualifications: bilingual English/Spanish required; one year medical assistant experience; ability to communicate in a clear, understandable, and professional manner by phone or in person; CPR certification required; physical ability to lift up to 10 lbs unassisted. Facility Maintenance Worker – Full Time
Receives oral or written directions from Lead, Facilities/Maintenance Coordinator or Clinic Manager. Performs a variety of preventive maintenance activities and repairs to the physical buildings.
